Your hosts at Sterlochy Croft

Eileen and Andrew are the heart and soul of Sterlochy Croft. With a deep love for nature, animals, and rural living, they’ve poured years of care and experience into creating a peaceful escape in the Scottish Highlands. Their journey in tourism began back in 2007 when they bought and ran a Highland hotel for nine years, welcoming guests with warmth and Highland hospitality. From there, they moved into self-catering holidays before settling on the croft—a small working farm nestled in stunning countryside—where they now live and welcome visitors to their unique off-grid glamping retreat.

Together, they look after a happy family of animals, none of which are kept for meat. The sheep are raised for their wool, which Eileen lovingly spins during the winter months. Their pigs play an important role as natural rotavators, turning over the soil to prepare it for planting. The hens roam freely and provide fresh eggs for local sale. Recently, they’ve added pygmy goats to the mix—charming, cheeky companions loved by all who visit. Eileen and Andrew’s passion lies in offering people the chance to unwind, reconnect with nature, and enjoy a little adventure away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Whether you’re staying in a cosy cabin or a tipi under the stars, you’ll feel their care in every detail of the croft experience.
